Canada’s Atlantic region includes provinces like Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island which together operates immigration program, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. This pilot allows these provinces to embrace the immigration candidates with sufficient skills and experience as Permanent residents in the province. This program was introduced in 2017 in coordination with the federal government for the quality influx of 7,000 foreign nationals for the application of permanent residency in the Atlantic region of Canada by 2020.

All the above three categories target the entry of skilled immigrants to fill the gap in the provinces of the Atlantic region of Canada. The provinces offer a valid job offer to eligible foreign nationals for the positions; the employers are unable to find the right candidate in their local market. This pilot program is an employer-driven immigration program, and all those candidates who wish to apply under this program need to get a valid job offer from an eligible employer. Moreover, after getting a job offer from the designated employer, the candidate and his/her accompanying family members need to get a settlement plan. Without a job offer and settlement plan, the candidate cannot proceed further in the application process of AIPP. Only after meeting all the requirements of the programs and vacant position, an employer issue the job offer to an individual for AIPP.

An applicant needs to show scorecard of any of the following language proficiency test to prove his/her command over either English or French language abilities, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Moreover, the IELTS scorecard must not be more than two years old.
If an applicant has completed education from a university outside Canada, then ECA (Education Credential Assessment) report from a reputed organization is necessary to show that his/her education is equal to the standard Canadian educational system.
An applicant must have sufficient funds to support his/her family in Canada after moving to Canada
