How Do I apply
to SINP?

There are four categories including International skilled worker category, Saskatchewan experience category, Entrepreneur Category and farm category through which an applicant can apply to SINP. First, check the eligibility and requirements and accordingly apply to it.

International skilled worker category:

This category is for foreign workers who are working as professionals in their native country and now want to work and live in Saskatchewan. It manages the immigration applications through its three sub-streams including Saskatchewan Express Entry, Saskatchewan employment offer, Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand.

Saskatchewan Express Entry:

As the name implies, this immigration sub stream is directly linked to the Federal Express Entry Program. It evaluates the profiles through selection factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, adaptability, arranged employment. The processing time for applications under this category takes 4-6 months. The minimum eligibility criteria for Saskatchewan Express Entry include

  • An applicant must have a profile in Express Entry Pool.
  • He/she must score sufficient Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level in the language proficiency test
  • He/she must have completed post-secondary education, training, apprenticeship or equivalent to the education system of Canada.
  • He/she must have work experience in professions categorized as NOC skilled type 0, A or B.
  • He/she must have proof of funds to show his/her financial stability
  • He/she must score a minimum of 60 points in the point assessment grid

Saskatchewan employment offer:

This immigration category includes those applicants who have a job offer from Saskatchewan employer and willing to settle in Ontario. The basic requirements for this program are:

  • An applicant must have minimum one-year work experience within the past ten years
  • He/she must score a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark language (CLB) level 4 in language proficiency test like IELTS
  • He/she must have a valid job offer from the employer of Saskatchewan for a permanent, full-time, paid job which is classified as NOC skilled type 0, A or B.
  • He/she must score a minimum of 60 points in the point assessment grid

Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand:

This category primarily targets those immigration candidates whose skills are required in the province. The basic requirements for this category include

  • A Candidate must score a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark language (CLB) level 4 in language proficiency test like IELTS
  • He/she must complete at least a Canadian one-year post-secondary diploma
  • He/she must have a minimum of 12 months of work experience in the Saskatchewan in-demand occupation
  • He/she must have sufficient settlement funds

Can I immigrate to Saskatchewan without job offer?

Yes, it is possible to move to Saskatchewan without job offer; however, it enhances the chances of selection. However, an applicant needs to qualify the eligibility criteria to become eligible to apply for SINP. There is a point-based system comprises of total 100 points to score the candidates
